2018 Adult Classes
Underwater Colour - NEW DATES
Saturday 29 September, 12pm to 3pm.
Learn the FUN-damental techniques of watercolour while we paint a turtle and a smack of vibrant jellyfish. This class covers all the materials you need to start painting at home, wet-in-wet, layers, transparency, and some magic tricks! The class runs 3 hours and includes all materials and a take-home mini-kit, so you can keep painting.

Workshop Freo in lovely Fremantle.
Workshop Freo is "Springing" into September and going "troppo!!" The colours and sculptural structure of tropical plants make them the perfect subject matter for a gorgeous watercolour painting of your favourite plant friends!
In this fun and relaxed class, You will learn how to handle your brush to create crisp edges and details, mix and layer colours, apply flat and graduated washes and apply line as an after effect. Inspired by the colours and shapes of tropical greenery like Monsteras, you will also experiment with wet-in- wet techniques and incorporate 'happy accidents' into a successful composition.

In this fun and relaxed class, You will learn how to create a design and image suitable for a print, and how to use a lino block, brayer and printmaking ink to achieve different effects. Inspired by the textures and shapes of tropical greenery like monsteras, you will also experiment with contrast, repetition and colour to create a series of works. All materials provided.

Travel and Visual journals - Returning in October

Keeping a journal is a great way to add some much-needed mindfulness into your day. It's a way to document your thoughts, feelings, what you're up to, where you've been and where you'd like to go. A record of your journeys amongst the real world as well as your internal ones.
In this three hour class, I will show you how to incorporate on-the-go techniques and creative composition ideas into your visual recordings. The workshop will cover a variety of watercolour and mixed media techniques to create backgrounds, as well as spot illustrations to document your day. You will learn about which art materials to pack when traveling, and ways to bind loose pages together to create a bespoke journal.

I love sharing my knowledge with others and have extensive experience in the Arts.
I hold a Graduated Diploma (Education) as well as a Bachelor Arts Degree and really enjoy teaching!

This workshop was the perfect escape from my toddlers! It was a wonderful way to learn something new and come away with something I could do at home on my own.
